We did it, Cromwell! Thanks to your passion, your voice, and your vote, the 2025 municipal election was a major victory for our community — and for the future we’re building together.

We are thrilled to announce that we flipped two key seats:

✅ 1 seat on the Board of Finance

✅ 1 seat on the Board of Education

These wins weren’t just about party labels — they were about electing leaders who put Cromwell families, schools, finances, and long-term planning first. Your vote sent a clear message that progress matters, accountability matters, and community matters.

🙌 A Huge Thank You to Our Candidates

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to every candidate who stepped up and put themselves forward in this election. Running for office takes courage, dedication, and a deep love for our town — and each of you showed that in abundance. Your voice helped shape the conversation and your commitment made our democracy stronger.

📅 What’s Next?

All newly elected officials will be sworn in on Monday, November 10 at 5 p.m. at Town Hall. We invite all of you to attend and be part of this important moment as we officially welcome new leadership to continue the work of moving Cromwell forward.

Looking ahead to January, the Cromwell Democrats will hold a caucus to elect new members to the Democratic Town Committee. These are two-year terms and members are directly involved in shaping our town’s future. All registered Democrats can participate in this caucus.

🗣️ Be Part of the Work!

The election is over, but the work is not. We need your voice, your ideas, and your presence. Here's how you can stay involved:

  • Attend meetings

  • Speak during public comment

  • Encourage your neighbors to engage

  • Volunteer for campaigns, boards, or committees

Together, we’ve made incredible progress since the 2023 election:

✅ A new Cromwell Human Resources Director will be hired to modernize and support our town’s workforce.

✅ Town leaders are being held accountable, with more transparency and responsiveness.

✅ Drainage projects are underway, protecting homes and neighborhoods from flooding and climate impacts.

✅ The new middle school has opened, providing students with the space and resources they deserve.

✅ A culture and climate study was completed among town employees and recommendations are being actively implemented.

But there’s more to do:

  • 🔧 Manage aging school infrastructure

  • 🏛️ Assess community space needs and build a plan to support residents of all ages

  • 🌧️ Continue drainage and resilience projects to protect Cromwell from climate challenges

  • 📝 Prepare shovel-ready projects to maximize our chances at state and federal grant funding

Cromwell is strongest when we all take part. With your continued support, engagement, and belief in progress, we can make our town an even more vibrant, inclusive, resilient place to live. Democracy starts local.

Thank you for showing up. Thank you for believing. Let’s keep going.
